Auction News

Hunters Property Auctions are having a fantastic year so far. With over 73% of properties sold, auction is proving a popular route for both sellers and purchasers.
Check out our latest auction news including the fantastic price achieved for a flood damaged property, lots that are still available to buy and of course our next auction on the 24th of July at York Racecourse.

A Flood of Interest in this Property

Industrial Street in Todmorden  has a history of flooding and  local purchasers are wary of any properties offered for sale. Several have been ‘tanked’ to avoid water ingress.

An investment company approached Hunters Actions to dispose of the property and set a reserve/guide price of &25,000. With only two weeks to go to the auction we were concerned the exposure we could generate would not be sufficient to encourage interest.

We need not have worried. From the initial internet listing we were inundated with enquiries from would be purchasers. On the night of the auction we had two telephone bidders and several potential buyers in the auction sales room. Bidding was furious and the property realised a staggering &43,000!

Our next auction will be held on 24th July at York Racecourse
