Buying at auction

• View our online catalogue and list the properties you are interested in
• Contact the appropriate people as stated in the catalogue to make an appointment to view the property
• After viewing the property, if you are interested legal packs will be found online at www.hunterspropertyauctions.co.uk
• If you intend to bid for a property at auction you must bring along a Bankers Draft for 10% of the guide price as a deposit
• You must bring ID with you; a driving license or passport and a recent utilities bill and your solicitor's details
• At the fall of the gavel the sale is legally binding and you will be expected to complete the contracts straight after your bid has been successful. Do not bid if you are unsure of your financial position
• Telephone bids are acceptable by prior arrangement and 10 days prior notice is required for all telephone bidders
• All sales on the night of the auction will be due for legal completion 28 days after the auction unless stated differently
• Successful purchasers will be required to pay a buyer’s premium of &495 plus VAT



Selling by auction

• First make an appointment with the Auctioneer for a free valuation
• Set and agree a guide price with the Auctioneer
• Agree the commission rate, sign the Marketing Agreement/Contract and pay the entry fee of &500 plus VAT
• Agree viewing arrangements
• Approve the text for the catalogue and all marketing
• Instruct your solicitor to provide a Legal Pack for sale by Auction to ensure legal exchange of contracts on the night of the auction. This should be made available at least 2 weeks prior to the auction date
• Set and agree the reserve price
• Attend the auction if you wish
• The successful bidder will pay a 10% deposit and exchange contracts on the night of the auction, with legal completion to follow within 28 days
