Sir Clive Woodward OBE attends Hunters Annual National Conference

We were delighted to have Sir Clive Woodward OBE as the headline speaker at our second annual National Conference on Friday 21 March at York Racecourse. As England’s Head Coach at their victorious Rugby World Cup 2003 and the Team GB Director of Sport at London 2012, Sir Clive Woodward OBE has had a fantastic career on and off the sporting field and gave an inspirational talk on ‘The DNA of a Champion’.

He also met with Easingwold School Headmaster Phil Benaiges and pupils from the school in support of Hunters' continued efforts to raise funds for the campaign to build a new community sports centre and a 3rd generation full-size football pitch at the school.

Sir Clive and Kevin Hollinrake, Managing Director of Hunters Property Group, both former pupils of the school, met with current  pupils and Mr Benaiges, where they learnt how the new facilities will encourage and develop pupils’ ability and passion for sport.

Over 200 Hunters representatives attended the conference, symbolising the recent growth of the company which now has market presence in all of the UK’s biggest cities including Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Middlesbrough, Leeds, Leicester and Hull and over 30 branches throughout London and the south east. Stoke on Trent, Consett in County Durham, Hereford and Plaistow in East London are some of the most recent Hunters branches to open as well as an international partner in La Manga Club in the Murcia region of Spain. There are plans to open further branches in the coming months and throughout 2014 in locations across the UK including Warrington, North Shields, Birmingham and several sites across London.

Hunters plan to have 140 branches by the end of the year and over 500 branches in the UK in the next five years.
